The Company Check Business Census is an annual survey designed to gain a snapshot of business in the UK.
Within the survey, we ask questions reflecting on the experience of business in 2016 and looking ahead to 2017. Last year, more than 1,000 business owners took part in the survey, which was downloaded more than 7,000 times and featured across the web in publications including Forbes, International Business Times and Yahoo News.

There are 19 questions in total, the majority of which are multiple choice. Your answers will be completely anonymous, unless you choose to leave your email address, in which case we will still not share your answers with any third parties.
Why participate?
Business in the UK has weathered some turbulent times this year. There was a great deal of political unrest, particularly around the Brexit vote and the subsequent change of leadership at Number 10, and uncertainty continues to this day around how exactly that will affect us all.
Furthermore, changes to the way we do business overseas, unrest around the manufacturing industry and a plethora of new challenges have hit our businesses, making for some difficult months for everyone.
That said, it’s not all bad news and many businesses will retain a positive outlook for the year to come.
All of this underpins our reasons for conducting the Business Census, and hopefully your reasons for taking part. There’s plenty of data available about business in the UK, but statistics alone can never tell the full story.
We want to know what business is like in the UK from the people who experience it every day – you! Get involved today; your opinion counts.
Why Company Check?
While reports into the state of the economy aren’t uncommon, it’s rare that they take into account the real time experiences of business people.
As the UK’s most used source of business data, Company Check has over 500,000 users who represent businesses of all shapes and sizes from across the UK. By conducting the survey through Company Check, we open it up to a very large, highly representative sample which we believe will give us one of the most comprehensive business censuses of its kind to date.
